Stiegler, Bernard

Bernard Stiegler (1952-2020) is a philosopher and former director of research at the University of Compiègne. He founded and chaired the Ars Industrialis think tank in 2005, as well as the Institute for Research and Innovation (IRI) at the Georges Pompidou Centre in 2006. Author of the three volumes of "La technique et le temps", his critical reflection is centred on the challenges of mutations (social, political, economic, psychological) brought about by technological development, particularly digital technologies.
